Precipitation Fluctuations is including the factors which occur almost in all regions. These fluctuations are causing damage to natural resources. Vegetation is a function of climate (rainfall, temperature, pressure, etc.) and soil and livelihoods, one of the most important components of the ecosystem that is strongly influenced by climatic fluctuations. Using satellite data to monitor vegetation, drought plays an important role in prognosis. Sub-basin of West Kurdistan province, including areas that in recent years due to climate fluctuations, damage to vegetation and agricultural entered. In this study, the correlation weather stations (normal Z drought index) and normalized difference vegetation index images (NDVI) MODIS satellite, in the period 2000 to 2010, using geographic information system (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) has been paid. Statistical analysis of meteorological stations, 2001 and 2008 as a period of dry and wet periods identified in 2006. Solidarity fluctuations in rainfall in different parts of the basin area with satellite images were analyzed using linear regression. The results show, that there is a significant correlation between drought index normal Z and satellite imagery in most stations except stations in the area are forest-mountain.
